Brilliant screen for the price and the HDR colours pop nicely when watching Netflix. My only minor gripe is the built-in speakers are a bit tinny, but I always use my headphones anyway so it's not a dealbreaker.
I was looking at ARZOPA monitors but decided on Coolhood because of the UK warranty. So glad I did. The smart cover is really sturdy and doesn't slip on the desk like some cheaper iPad-style covers do.
Using this primarily as a second screen for coding on my MacBook Pro. The 60Hz refresh rate is perfectly smooth for work. Just make sure you push the USB-C cable in firmly until it clicks!
Simple Setup
- For USB-C Devices: Connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable from your laptop/phone's full-featured Type-C port to the lower Type-C port on the monitor. The screen will power on and display automatically.
- For HDMI Devices: Connect the included Mini HDMI to HDMI cable to your device. Then, connect the USB-C to USB-A cable to a power source (like your laptop's USB port or a wall adapter) and plug it into the upper Type-C port on the monitor for power.
- Adjusting the Stand: Fold the magnetic smart cover backward along the creases to form a triangle, resting the bottom edge of the monitor in one of the two grooved slots for your preferred viewing angle.
- Adjusting Settings: Use the toggle wheel on the left side of the monitor to adjust brightness, contrast, and volume.
